The Outside

It's been nearly 30 hours since I've left my room I now call home. 30 hours have fluttered by, and I've spent most of it ACTUALLY putting my nose in my books. I devised a well-thought out study plan, allowing opportunity for me to rest on days where classes are a little heavier than the average day. Studying for nearly 4 hours for today, I'm starting to see numbers. I'm bummed that I lack a life forcing me to hardly see the outside world.

Now, to all those faithful readers out there, here is an update. Clearly, nothing has happened to me since my last post. I spent deepavali eve with some friends at an indian restaurant shisha-ing, and that's it. Classes have been here and there. Things have mixed up cause some lecturers seem to be cancelling and postponing their classes out of the blue. I went to Shanghai 2 weeks ago to visit the folks. Family had decided to visit us there and I had the opportunity to see my dad's eldest brothers, minus the 25 other cousins I have. It felt odd to have them around me without anyone young around me. I was successful in saving money during that week thanks to the fact that daddy always loves the youngest. I didn't have to spend a dime of my own money the entire trip :D.

As for now, I'm busy prepping for the exams that are coming up in about 2 months. Seems like I'm doing it early, but I guess a little effort doesn't hurt. I'm counting down the days till I go home since I've got a list of things I need to get done when I'm back. Hanging out with friends in my room, I accidentally spilt hot Milo on my lappie and now the keys occasionally get sticky and some of the usb thingy's are not working like they used to. Plus the fact that one of my phone keys have decided to stop working. I'm having the worst luck with technology since I got here, but I guess that's the silver lining of going home.

So, till then, ta! It's back to the books for me :)
