The joy of absence

For a minute I thought I'd be able to keep up the whole blogging game. Apparently not. Many apologies. Much has happened since my last post. To be fairly honest, I have no idea who actually checks out my blog seeing that I hardly blog. Regardless, here I am to share what has been going on. From HIS birthday, not much has happened. The birthday was certainly a delightful event, and even though it wasn't my birthday, it felt really good. Taking him out to watch AVATAR - which wasn't too bad - and then a little walk around Bintang Walk to get him his NEW IPOD a charger. Coming home, I managed to surprise him with a little party thanks to efforts from Praveena and Satchit. Around 14 people came, and we spent about an hour in my place watching youtube videos and doing what friends do.

The boys went out for a breath of fresh air near the pool, and during the time, the girls took the opportunity to prepare another surprise at the nearby playground: a water balloon fight. With around 150 balloons, a war broke loose forcing everyone to run in different directions. The fight didn't stop there. Returning to my apartment, Su Ann, stowed an extra water balloon and soon the entire apartment became a war zone. It was so enjoyable I smile now thinking about it. :)

Praveena and I managed to whip up another later surprise of getting his parents to stop by and say hi as well as drop off his baby sister. A birthday with family, friends, and me. I hope that was exactly what you wanted sayang. :)

Other than his birthday, I went to the Boys Like Girls free concert sponsored by Nokia. Sayang hoisted me up and for the first time, I actually got a good view during a concert. From now on, its you and me at concerts, kay sayang?

OH, its chinese new year now! Happy CNY! As much as I'm half chinese I feel like such an outsider with all the traditions. While everyone else spends CNY eve with family, I spent it helping my dad out with a camp. Not that I regret it, but sometimes I wish I could be more chinese. Being mostly ang-pauless, I'm nearly completely broke this month, bringing upon the need to diet unnecessarily. Oh well, it's good training for the fasting month that starts in a week. Goodbye glorious chocolates in the afternoon! Hello major depression. Results being released this week doesnt help either.

Oh.

Woe is me.
